INVESTIGATION #1
Introduction
On Friday, 3rd October 2025, Spectrum Paranormal Investigations (Hazel and Dean Williams) conducted a three-hour paranormal investigation at the reputedly haunted Mecca Bingo, Rosehill. The venue is the oldest and 'most haunted' bingo hall in the UK and retains much of its original 1920s–1930s architecture and is widely reported by staff and visitors to have paranormal related phenomena dating back to the 1970s.
This investigation was conducted with minimal prior information about alleged 'hot spots' or previous experiences to avoid priming.
Baseline environmental readings were taken throughout to identify and monitor natural or man-made electromagnetic, magnetic, radio, and temperature fluctuations.
Known activity:
Sightings of a civil war cavalier
A spirit that has been named Fred
The sound of a phantom organ being played (Organ no longer remains)
Walk-Through / Baseline Readings:
Michael, a staff member, provided an access-all-areas walk-through of the venue but did not disclose areas of reported activity. Baseline readings were established at this stage, and areas of natural environmental or man-made energy sources were logged for reference during the investigation.
Investigation
Male Toilets
Before the main investigation commenced, Dean reported hearing a distinct and clear whistle while washing his hands in the male toilets. Unfortunately, as recording equipment had not yet been deployed, this sound was not captured on audio or video. Although it cannot be documented as evidence, Dean is confident in his experience and queries whether other staff or customers have reported similar occurrences? A dictaphone (EVP recorder) was placed hereafter, but no further audible Phenomena was captured.
Main Hall
A standard calling-out/Q&A session was conducted with questions such as, “Do you want to make your presence felt?” and “Can you knock or make a noise to show you are here?” No responses or interactions were observed or witnessed.

Entrance Area
Hazel reported feeling drawn to the entrance area and described an ominous sensation. Upon checking with Michael (staff), it was confirmed that both staff and customers have reported sightings of dark shadow figures and a negative energy in this same location. This appeared to validate Hazel’s intuitive sensitivity.
Ouija Board Session
Due to minimal activity in the main hall, an Ouija board session was conducted. After an opening prayer, the planchette exhibited pulsing movements - a potentially positive sign of contact. Questions were then asked aloud, and although many responses were not clearly spelt out or answered alphabetically, the below numbers were received very clearly upon request:
17
64
7
9
45
EVP / Spirit Box Session
We conducted an SP11 Spirit Box and Portal (designed to reduce white noise and clarify vocal responses) session.
Hazel asked if any spirits could provide numbers or say phrases such as “Mecca Bingo.” A seemingly clear “Two” was heard.

Summary & Conclusions
Mecca Bingo, Rosehill is a large venue and would require multiple investigations to thoroughly cover all areas and collect sufficient data.
On this occasion, only limited phenomena were documented:
Dean’s auditory experience of a whistle in the male toilets (not recorded).
EVP captured seemingly saying the number "Two".
Hazel’s intuitive experience validated by staff reports of activity at the entrance.
Numerical sequences obtained from an Ouija board and EVP session. (Caught on film)
While these findings are intriguing, they do not yet provide irrefutable and tangible evidence of paranormal activity or corroborate with other previous documented accounts.
Further investigation was recommended to build on these preliminary results.
INVESTIGATION #2
Follow-Up Investigation Report: Mecca Bingo, Rosehill
Date: Monday, 13th October 2025
Investigators: Hazel & Dean Williams (Spectrum Paranormal Investigations)
Duration: 2 hours
Additional Witness: Wayne (Venue Representative)
Introduction
On Monday 13th October, Spectrum Paranormal Investigations (Hazel and Dean Williams) conducted a two-hour follow-up investigation at the reputedly haunted Mecca Bingo, Rosehill. This was our second visit following reports of persistent paranormal phenomena associated with the venue, most notably the presence of “Fred,” the resident spirit, and the apparition of a Cavalier figure.
The aim of this session was to collect further evidence of possible paranormal activity through controlled experiments, the use of various technical instruments, and direct communication attempts.
Investigation
Main Hall
The investigation commenced in the main hall. Hazel placed a light-up cat-ball (used as a trigger object) on the ground to test for psychokinetic interaction or poltergeist-type activity. She began a calling-out / Q&A session, asking:
“Is the spirit of Fred or The Cavalier present here with us this evening?”
“Can you move the object or roll the ball to show you are here?”
Upon request, the ball began to flash, apparently providing an immediate and direct response to Hazel’s question. This occurred before filming commenced. After allowing the object to settle, recording began. When Hazel once again asked for interaction, the ball flashed a second time - apparently in response. It should be noted that the cat-ball is motion-activated and requires either physical touch or an energy field disturbance to illuminate. Therefore, this was not a random fault or environmental trigger, and appears consistent with an intelligent, responsive interaction.
These interactions were witnessed by Hazel, Dean, and Wayne, and were captured on film.
Basement / Under-Stage Area
This area is believed to be where the original cinema organ was located, and reports suggest that the sound of phantom organ music has been heard during late hours.

We deployed the following equipment:
EMF meters
Mel Meter
Digital voice recorder
FLIR thermal imaging camera to detect temperature fluctuations and possible touch anomalies
During the session, Hazel requested:
“Fred, if you’re here, please touch my hand.”
No temperature anomalies or thermal interactions were recorded.

Later, during a knocking communication test, Hazel invited any presence to respond by knocking twice. A faint double knock was subsequently heard on a nearby metal pipe. When Hazel repeated the request, the same two knocks were again heard.
While the sound was not strong enough to be clearly captured on recording devices, all three present - Hazel, Dean, and Wayne - confirmed hearing the sound and agreed on its nature and timing.
Table 666
After the EVP session, Hazel jokingly asked whether a “Table 666” existed in the venue. Wayne replied that tables only went up to “400 and something.”
Later, while exploring the upstairs seating area, Wayne discovered a table labelled 666. Notably, during the previous investigation, Dean had experienced strong EMF readings at this same table, although he had not noticed its number at that time.
On both occasions, Table 666 displayed significantly higher electromagnetic activity than any surrounding tables, with no clear electrical explanation. This consistent anomaly raises the question: could this table act as a focal point or conduit for the site’s paranormal activity/energy?

Summary of Documented Phenomena
Intelligent Trigger Object Response
Cat-ball visibly illuminated twice upon request.
Witnessed by three individuals (recorded on video).
Audible Knocking Phenomena
Two distinct double-knock responses heard on command in the basement/under-stage area.
Corroborated by all three witnesses.
Persistent EMF Activity at Table 666
Strong electromagnetic readings at the same location across two separate investigations.
No identifiable environmental or electrical cause.
Conclusions & Recommendations
The follow-up investigation at Mecca Bingo, Rosehill, has produced further suggestive evidence of paranormal activity, particularly involving:
Responsive energy interaction with trigger object (caught on film)
Unexplained knocking sounds
Recurrent electromagnetic anomalies at Table 666
While definitive proof of paranormal causation cannot be claimed, the consistency of activity and multiple-witness corroboration lend credibility to the phenomena observed.
